Pico Laser Tattoo Removal in Hartlepool

Remove or fade an unwanted tattoo with advanced Pico laser tattoo removal at The Comfort Zone Hartlepool.

We have upgraded our tattoo-removal technology to the PicoMAX laser, providing faster, ultra-short pulses that break tattoo pigment into tiny particles. These particles are then gradually cleared by the body’s natural processes.

Whether you want to remove a tattoo completely or fade it before a cover-up, our trained laser specialists will create a personalised treatment plan for you.

Pico laser technology delivers energy in extremely short pulses. This fragments the tattoo pigment while limiting unnecessary heat within the surrounding skin.

We will assess your tattoo, skin and desired result during your free consultation.

Laser Tattoo Removal FAQs

We use the excellent Pico Laser System to perform laser tattoo removal treatments at our clinic in Hartlepool

The Pico Iris laser sends ultra-short pulses of energy into the tattoo pigment beneath the skin.
The energy breaks the ink into much smaller particles without removing the surface of the skin. Your body’s lymphatic system then gradually processes and clears these particles over the following weeks.
Each session targets the remaining pigment, allowing the tattoo to become progressively lighter.
Every tattoo is different. The number of Pico laser treatments required can depend on:
• The tattoo’s size
• The colour of the ink
• The depth and density of the pigment
• The tattoo’s age
• Whether it is professional or amateur
• The area of the body
• Whether it has previously been treated
• Your skin and individual response to treatment
Treatments are spaced several weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and the body time to process the fragmented ink.
We will give you realistic expectations and recommend a treatment plan during your consultation.
Clients often describe the sensation as similar to an elastic band snapping against the skin.
Treatment is usually very quick, although the appointment time will depend on the size of the tattoo. Cooling will help make the treatment more comfortable.
Redness, swelling, tenderness or temporary whitening—known as frosting—can occur immediately after laser tattoo removal. Some clients may also experience blistering or scabbing while the area heals.

You will receive full aftercare instructions. It is important to:
• Keep the treated area clean and protected
• Avoid picking, scratching or removing scabs
• Avoid heat, swimming and strenuous exercise as advised
• Protect the area from sun exposure
• Contact the clinic if you have any concerns
Some tattoos can achieve excellent clearance, while others may leave a small amount of pigment or shadowing. Results depend on the ink, colour, depth, tattoo size and your body’s response. Complete clearance cannot be guaranteed.

Yes. Pico laser treatment can fade a tattoo to give your tattoo artist more flexibility when designing a cover-up.
The Pico Max can target a variety of tattoo colours. Some colours respond more quickly than others, so we will assess the individual inks during your consultation.

Yes, we offer Pico laser removal for semi-permanent eyebrow makeup. A consultation and patch test are required because cosmetic pigments can respond differently from traditional tattoo ink.

Laser tattoo-removal sessions must be spaced apart to allow the skin to heal and your body to clear the fragmented pigment. Your laser specialist will recommend the correct interval for your tattoo. usually 6-12 weeks apart depending on fading.

This temporary reaction is called frosting. It happens when the laser energy interacts with the tattoo pigment and creates a rapid release of gas within the skin. It normally settles shortly after treatment.

The area may be red, swollen or tender following treatment. Blistering or scabbing can occur, so you must follow the aftercare instructions and allow the skin to heal properly.

Our experienced laser specialists welcome clients from Hartlepool, Teesside and across the North East. We will assess your tattoo, explain your options and create a personalised Pico laser treatment plan.
